Mature cystic teratomas (MCT), commonly called dermoid cysts, are the most common benign germ cell tumors of the ovary in women of reproductive age. Future fertility is of major concern among these women; therefore, the surgical management must focus on preserving ovarian tissue and minimizing adhesion formation.
