Dear Editor: Pilonidal sinus is a disease that most commonly arises in the hair follicles of the natal cleft of the sacrococcygeal area. Pilonidal sinus disease (PNSD) mainly affects the young and active people of working age group. It occurs in approximately 0.7% of the population, with peak age of incidence at 16–25 years.
