Management of patients with a diastolic blood pressure of 90 mmHg in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Abstract

A retrospective study of 50 patients admitted to the Peninsula Maternity Hospital, Cape Town, with a diastolic blood pressure of 90 mmHg was carried out. Proteinuria and a serum urate level of 0,36 mmol/l or more were found to be risk factors in this group.
