The effect of insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) on tumour development in the mouse mammary gland was studied. To promote extra IGF-II expression in the mammary gland, sheep beta-lactoglobulin regulatory elements were attached to the coding regions of the mouse Igf-2 gene and injected into the pronuclei of mouse zygotes.
