Malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is a high-grade and aggressive sarcoma. It is relatively rare in the head and neck region. Its diagnosis is based on immunohistochemical stains. Wide excision followed by postoperative radiotherapy is believed to be the treatment of choice for MFH. In October 2001, a case of MFH in the maxillary sinus, which presented as a toothache at the beginning, was successfully diagnosed and treated.
