Publisher Summary Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) is a rare tumor entity within the sarcoma tumor family comprising 10% of all soft tissue sarcomas. The development of MPNST is a life-threatening with neurofibromatosis type-1 (NF1), this fact is the very reason for the lack of large prospective clinical studies, and there are even fewer reports on PET imaging in patients with MPNST.
