The question of differences between males and females in fertility values and attitudes was explored through surveys of unmarried male and female college students in North American colleges between 1967 and 1973. The tabulated data indicate that there is a definite difference in family size preference between males and females, with differences varying from 2- to 7/10 of a child depending on religious faith.
