Publisher Summary This chapter presents malarial periodicity and body temperature in an experimental study of plasmodium lophurae in chicken embryos. In the malaria diseased organism, periodic bursts of fever is a common phenomenon. Correlated with the fevers, the plasmodia in the blood pass through maximal and minimal numbers when observation is made for a distinct phase of the plasmodial cell cycle.
