  • In addition to the decay of magnetization with time that occurs in scalar processes, in vector processes the magnetization must also rotate toward the easy axis. In this model, each hysteron is characterized by a critical surface. The energy of the hysteron is proportional to the size of the difference between the applied field and the particular point on the critical surface.
