PURPOSE To assess magnetic resonance (MR) safety for a newly developed, fiber-optic cardiac pacing lead. MATERIALS AND METHODS MR safety was assessed for the fiber-optic cardiac pacing lead by evaluating magnetic field interactions and heating.
