Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was used to examine the right ventricle and pulmonary arteries in 17 patients with pulmonary artery (PA) hypertension documented by cardiac catheterization. The study population consisted of 7 patients with primary pulmonary hypertension, 7 with Eisenmenger's syndrome and 3 with pulmonary hypertension secondary to lung disease.
