We calculate the Raman spectrum of the two-dimensional spin-1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet by exact diagonalization and quantum Monte Carlo techniques on clusters of up to 144 sites. On a 16-site cluster, we consider the phonon-magnon interaction which leads to random fluctuations of the exchange integral. Results are in good agreement with Raman scattering experiments on various high- ${T}_{c}$ precursors, such as ${\mathrm{La}}_{2}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$ and ${\mathrm{YBa}}_{2}{\mathrm{Cu}}_{3… 17 Citations Theoretical analysis of magnetic Raman scattering in La 2 CuO 4 : Two-magnon intensity with the inclusion of ring exchange • Physics • 2003 We evaluate the Raman light-scattering intensity for the square lattice Heisenberg antiferromagnet with plaquette ring exchange${J}_{\ensuremath{\square}}.\$ With the exchange couplings as fixed
Disorder Effects upon the Two‐Magnon Raman Scattering Spectrum in a Hubbard Antiferromagnet
Two-magnon Raman scattering intensity is obtained for a two-dimensional (2D) spin-1/2 antiferromagnet in presence of hopping (off-diagonal) and on-site (diagonal) disorder. For hopping disorder it is

We have analyzed the anomalous line shapes of the two-magnon Raman spectra of undoped high T c cuprates, using the spin wave theory in a two-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet. In order to
Raman Scattering in High-T c Superconductors: Phonons, Electrons, and Magnons
It was realized very soon after the discovery of high-T c superconductors that Raman spectroscopy is an excellent technique for the investigation of low energy elementary excitations in these

It is shown that quasichiral sound-matter interactions can occur, with tunable ranges from bidirectional to quasiunidirectional, when the spins are resonant with the bands, and the emergence of an exotic polariton bound state that can mediate long-range tunable, odd-neighbor, and complex spin-spin interactions is demonstrated.
