We study the magnetic properties of the coloured multiquark states in the quark-gluon plasma where the gluons are deconfined and the chiral symmetry is still broken, using the Sakai-Sugimoto model. There are two possible magnetized multiquark configurations. Both configurations converge to the same configuration at the critical field and temperature before they dissociate altogether either into less coloured multiquarks or into other phases for a fixed density. It is also found that the…

Holographic Multiquarks in the Quark-Gluon Plasma: A Review

We review the holographic multiquark states in the deconfined quark-gluon plasma. Nuclear matter can become deconfined by extremely high temperature and/or density. In the deconfined nuclear medium,

Holographic baryonic matter in a background magnetic field

We discuss the effect of baryonic matter on the zero-temperature chiral phase transition at finite chemical potential in the presence of a background magnetic field. The main part of our study is

Magnetized domain walls in the deconfined Sakai-Sugimoto model at finite Baryon density

The magnetized pure pion gradient (∇φ) phase in the deconfined Sakai-Sugimoto model is explored at zero and finite temperature. We found that the temperature has very small effects on the phase. The

Magnetic phase diagram of dense holographic multiquarks in the quark-gluon plasma

We study phase diagram of the dense holographic gauge matter in the Sakai-Sugimoto model in the presence of the magnetic field above the deconfinement temperature. Even above the deconfinement,

Magnetic properties of dense holographic QCD

We investigate the Sakai-Sugimoto model at nonzero baryon chemical potential in a background magnetic field both in the confined phase and in the deconfined phase with restored chiral symmetry. In

Response of Holographic QCD to Electric and Magnetic Fields

We study the response of the Sakai-Sugimoto holographic model of large Nc QCD at nonzero temperature to external electric and magnetic fields. In the electric case we find a first-order

Holographic nuclear physics

We analyze the phases of the Sakai-Sugimoto model at finite temperature and baryon chemical potential. Baryonic matter is represented either by 4-branes in the 8-branes or by strings stretched from

Exotic multi-quark states in the deconfined phase from gravity dual models

In the deconfined phase of quark-gluon plasma, it seems that most of the quarks, antiquarks and gluons should be effectively free in the absence of the linear confining potential. However, the

Effective quark antiquark potential in the quark gluon plasma from gravity dual models

We estimate the effective heavy quark and antiquark potential in the quark gluon plasma using the gravity dual theory. Two models are considered: AdS5 and Sakai-Sugimoto model. The effective

External Fields and Chiral Symmetry Breaking in the Sakai-Sugimoto Model

Using the Sakai-Sugimoto model we study the effect of an external magnetic field on the dynamics of fundamental flavours in both the confined and deconfined phases of a large N_c gauge theory. We

Low energy hadron physics in holographic QCD

We present a holographic dual of four-dimensional, large N_c QCD with massless flavors. This model is constructed by placing N_f probe D8-branes into a D4 background, where supersymmetry is

More on a holographic dual of QCD

We investigate the interactions among the pion, vector mesons and external gauge fields in the holographic dual of massless QCD proposed in a previous paper [T. Sakai and S. Sugi-moto, Prog. Theor.

Multiquark baryons and color screening at finite temperature

We study baryons in SU(N) gauge theories at finite temperature according to the gauge/string correspondence based on IIB string theory. The baryon is constructed out of the D5-brane and N fundamental
