OBJECTIVE To determine if magnesium sulfate (MgSO(4)) improves outcome in cardiac arrest patients initially in ventricular fibrillation (VF). METHODS Randomized, prospective, double blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter prehospital trial using 2 g of MgSO(4).
