Abstract Ten species of the genus Macrocheles (Acari: Macrochelidae) phoretic on dung beetles were recorded from Kalimantan, Indonesia. Of these, M. kalimantanensis n. sp. was described as new, and four species, i.e., M. dispar (Berlese), M. sp. aff. glaber (Müller), M. jabarensis Hartini and Takaku and M. sukaramiensis Takaku, were recorded for the first time from this area.
