The aim of this work was to determine the heavy metals levels in the fruiting bodies of three fresh mushrooms species white Agaricus bisporus, brown Agaricus bisporus and Pleurotus Ostreatus available on the Romanian market. The mushrooms where collected from four different supermarkets. Analysis of heavy metals (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Cr Ni, Cd, Pb) was made using high-resolution continuum source spectrometer ContrAA-300, Analytik-Jena device. According to the data, the studied heavy metals… Expand

Concentrations of trace elements in wild edible mushrooms
Abstract The concentrations of Cu, Cd, Co, Ni, Mn, Pb, Zn and Fe in 66 samples of mushroom fruiting bodies, representing seven species, mainly all edible, were determined by atomic absorptionExpand
VEGETABLE AND FRUITS QUALITY WITHIN HEAVY METALS POLLUTED AREAS IN ROMANIA
There are, in Romania, three areas, Copşa Mica, Zlatna and Baia Mare, very strongly polluted with heavy metals caused by non-ferrous ores extraction and processing industry performed more than twoExpand
Multivariate analysis of mineral constituents of edible Parasol Mushroom (Macrolepiota procera) and soils beneath fruiting bodies collected from Northern Poland
TLDR
The estimated intake rates of Cd, Hg, and Pb contained in Parasol Mushroom’s caps show a cause for concern associated with these metals resulting from the consumption of between 300- and 500-g caps daily, on a frequent basis in the mushrooming season. Expand
Screening the Multi-Element Content of Pleurotus Mushroom Species Using inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES)
Considering the worldwide popularity of cultivated Pleurotus mushrooms as food, analyses of their chemical composition are required to ensure product safety. The aim of this study was to compare theExpand
Determination of heavy metals in soil, mushroom and plant samples by atomic absorption spectrometry
The concentrations of heavy metals in the soil, mushroom and plant samples collected from Tokat, Turkey have been determined by flame and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry after dryExpand
Trace element contents in European species of wild growing edible mushrooms: A review for the period 2000–2009
Abstract The review follows a previous report ( Kalac & Svoboda, 2000) , focused on cadmium, mercury and lead. Numerous papers on the topic, published during the last decade, rendered a lot of newExpand
A novel exploratory chemometric approach to environmental monitorring by combining block clustering with Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis
TLDR
A novel chemometric approach to standard statistical methods is proposed by combining the Block clustering with Partial least square (PLS) analysis to investigate the accumulation patterns of metals in anthropized terrestrial ecosystems to identify the latent factors that contribute to metal accumulation in land snails. Genetic polymorphism and taxonomic infrastructure of the Pleurotus eryngii species-complex as determined by RAPD analysis, isozyme profiles and ecomorphological characters.
TLDR
All Mediterranean Pleurotus populations growing on umbellifers seem to have recently diverged through a sympatric speciation process, that is based on both intrinsic reproductive barriers and extrinsic ecogeographical factors. Expand
Sexuality and Genetic Identity in theAgaricus Section Arvenses
TLDR
It is concluded that species from the section Arvenses have versatile unifactorial heterothallic life cycles that permit both interbreeding and homokaryotic fruiting and are part of a complex of interrelated species. Expand
