TLDR
The origin of the damage of the Achilles tendon is explained by numerous hypothesis, mainly a decreased perfusion and a mechanical irritation that lead to degeneration of the tendon.
MRT bei chronischer Epicondylitis humeri radialis an einem 1,0 T-Gerät - Kontrastmittelgabe notwendig?
TLDR
Evaluation of the diagnostic value and confidence of contrast-enhanced MR imaging in patients with lateral epicondylitis in comparison to clinical diagnosis found gadolinium-DTPA administration did not provide additional information.
[The Achilles tendon in sports].
TLDR
The therapy of achillodynia includes local and peroral antiphlogistic medication as a concomitant measure and the correction of muscular imbalance, ensuring control of the calcaneus through bandages and adjustment of sport shoes, changes in training buildup and exercise intensity, just to mention a few.
Tendinopathy and rupture of the tendon of the long head of the biceps brachii muscle: evaluation with MR arthrography.
TLDR
MR findings of tendinopathy and rupture of the biceps tendon are subtle, however, the combination of several MR criteria in two imaging planes makes a reasonably accurate diagnosis possible.
MR imaging of disorders of the Achilles tendon.
TLDR
The anatomy, MR imaging findings, and pathologic findings are reviewed in an attempt to develop a systematic nomenclature of Achilles disorders.
MR imaging of epicondylitis
TLDR
MRI of epicondylitis demonstrates tendon thickening with increased T1 and T2 signal, but these findings may be seen in a small minority of asymptomatic individuals.
Direct MR arthrography: a review of current use.
TLDR
The current role of MR arthrography is reviewed, more emphasis is given to the shoulder where its role has become well established, however its use in other joints is addressed and the relevant aspects of anatomy, techniques and applications are considered.
MR imaging findings of lateral ulnar collateral ligament abnormalities in patients with lateral epicondylitis.
TLDR
In this study, MR imaging features of lateral epicondylitis were often associated with thickening and tears of the lateral ulnar collateral ligament.
Clinical Impact of MR Arthrography of the Shoulder
TLDR
MR arthrography of the shoulder has a major effect on diagnostic thinking and therapeutic decisions by orthopedic shoulder surgeons.
Low-field MR arthrography of the shoulder joint: technique, indications, and clinical results
Abstract. In the age of cost containment and urgent reductions in health care expenditures, new options have to be explored to satisfy both diagnostic requirements and economic limitations. The
