The use of mixed function oxygenase (MFO) enzymes as a potential biomarker of pollution in the Swan-Canning Estuary was investigated in four indigenous fish species, Perth herring (Nematalosa vlaminghi), sea mullet (Mugil cephalus), yellowtail trumpeter (Amniataba caudavittata), and black bream (Acanthopagrus butcheri).
