The NA48 experiment at the CERN SPS aims to search for direct CP violation in the $K^0$ system through the measurement of ${\rm Re}(\epsilon'/ \epsilon)$ with high accuracy. In 1999 the NA48 collaboration has published its first measuremen based on 1997 data. A new result, based on 1998 and 1999 data, is presented in this article. The result, combined with 1997 data, ${\rm Re}(\epsilon'/\epsilon) = (15.3 \pm 2.6)\times 10^{-4}$, contributes to the precise determination of the size of direct CP…

What is the ( epsilon-prime / epsilon ) ( exp ) telling us ? "

The recently obtained experimental value for epsilon'/epsilon does not require sizeable 1/N and isospinbreaking corrections and the theoretical results are proposed to display in a (P^{1/2}, P^{3/2}) plane in which the experimental result is represented by a (Epsilon'/ep silon)_exp-path.

OPTIMISATION OF AN UPGRADE TO THE BELLE II EXPERIMENT’S INNER TRACKER USING SIMULATED

The Belle II experiment provides the ideal environment to study rare decay processes, since its collisions are free of contamination from physical background processes that can overshadow a potential

Calculation of nonleptonic kaon decay amplitudes from K→π matrix elements in quenched domain-wall QCD

We explore application of the domain wall fermion formalism of lattice QCD to calculate the $K\to\pi\pi$ decay amplitudes in terms of the $K\to\pi$ and $K\to 0$ hadronic matrix elements through

The Standard Model prediction for ε′/ε

We present a detailed analysis of ε′/ε within the Standard Model, taking into account the strong enhancement through final-state interactions identified by Pallante and Pich in Phys. Rev. Lett. 84

Master thesis Studies and Optimization for Future Beam Dump Experiments in the K12 and P42 Beams at CERN

During the beam operation years 2021-2025 at CERN the NA62 experiment is expected to reach its goal of making a more precise measurement of the branching ratio of the decay K+ → π+νν̄. There is a
