The uinique French woman-sculptor of the 18th c. Marie-Anne Collot (1748-1821) is known first of all as a co-author of the famous sculptor Ettienne-Maurice Falconet (1716-1791), her compatriot and teacher. She acompanied him in his travel to Russia in 1766-1778 and helped him in his grandiose work on the equestrian statue to Peter the Great - first Russian Emperor and founder of Saint Petersburg, new capital of Russia.
