Abstract : A manufacturing process was developed for the multiple-filament production of a glass fiber of high strength and high modulus (800,000 psi (800 ksi) and 15 x 100,000 psi, respectively) suitable for use in reinforcing plastic structures. Preliminary processing and military-type product-quality specifications were prepared.
