Globular clusters at the distance of M31 have apparent angular sizes of a few arcseconds. While many M31 globular clusters have been detected and studied from ground-based images, the high spatial resolution of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) allows much more robust detection and characterization of star cluster properties. We present the results of a search of 157 HST Wide Field Planetary Camera 2 images of M31. We found 82 previously cataloged globular cluster candidates, as well as 32 new…
A Hubble Space Telescope Survey of the Disk Cluster Population of M31. I. WFPC2 Pointings
As a follow‐up to the automated cluster search carried out by Williams & Hodge, we have examined 39 Hubble Space Telescope Wide Field Planetary Camera 2 (WFPC2) pointings to locate and study a
A Hubble Space Telescope Survey of the Disk Cluster Population of M31. II. Advanced Camera for Surveys Pointings
This paper reports on a survey of star clusters in M31 based on archival images from the Hubble Space Telescope. Paper I reported results from images obtained with the Wide Field Planetary Camera 2
Globular clusters in the outer halo of M31: the survey
TLDR
The discovery of 40 new globular clusters that have been found in surveys of the halo of M31 based on the Isaac Newton Telescope/Wide-Field Camera and Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope/Megacam imagery reveal that the GC system of M 31 is much more extended than previously realized.
STAR CLUSTERS IN M31. I. A CATALOG AND A STUDY OF THE YOUNG CLUSTERS
We present an updated catalog of 1300 objects in the field of M31, including 670 likely star clusters of various types, the rest being stars or background galaxies once thought to be clusters. The
Hubble Space Telescope ACS Wide-Field Photometry of the Sombrero Galaxy Globular Cluster System
A detailed imaging analysis of the globular cluster (GC) system of the Sombrero galaxy (NGC 4594) has been accomplished using a six-image mosaic from the Hubble Space Telescope Advanced Camera for
Hubble Space Telescope WFPC2 Color-Magnitude Diagrams for Globular Clusters in M31
We report new photometry for 10 globular clusters in M31, observed to a uniform depth of four orbits in F555W (V) and F814W (I) using WFPC2 on board the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). In addition, we
The old globular cluster system of the dIrr galaxy NGC 1427A in the Fornax cluster
We present a study of the old globular cluster (GC) population of the dwarf irregular galaxy NGC 1427A using multi-wavelength VLT observations in U, B,V,I ,H α and J bands under excellent observing
The LAMOST spectroscopic survey of globular clusters in M31 and M33. I. catalog and new identifications
We present a catalog of 908 objects observed with the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) in fields in the vicinity of M31 and M33, targeted as globular clusters (GCs)
Spectroscopic study of globular clusters in the halo of M31 with the Xinglong 2.16 m telescope
We present spectroscopic observations for 11 confirmed globular clusters (GCs) of M31 with the OMR spectrograph on the 2.16 m telescope at the Xinglong site of National Astronomical Observatories,
The Low-Mass X-Ray Binary-Globular Cluster Connection. II. NGC 4472 X-Ray Source Properties and Source Catalogs*
We present the results of a Chandra/Hubble Space Telescope (HST) study of the point sources of the Virgo Cluster giant elliptical galaxy NGC 4472. We identify 144 X-ray point sources outside the

The M31 Globular Cluster Luminosity Function
We combine our compilation of photometry of M31 globular clusters and probable cluster candidates with new near-infrared photometry for 30 objects. Using these data we determine the globular cluster
HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE Imaging of Globular Clusters in the Edge-on Spiral Galaxies NGC 4565 and NGC 5907
We present a study of the globular cluster systems of two edge-on spiral galaxies, NGC 4565 and NGC 5907, from WFPC2 images in the F450W and F814W filters. The globular cluster systems of both
M31 Globular Clusters: Colors and Metallicities
We present a new catalog of photometric and spectroscopic data on M31 globular clusters (GCs). The catalog includes new optical and near-infrared photometry for a substantial fraction of the 435
Globular clusters in the halo of M31
The CFHT was used to obtain high-resolution CCD images of 82 cluster candidates in the halo of M31. These data, combined with radial velocities which cover an additional 27 candidates, are used to
Serendipitous 2MASS Discoveries near the Galactic Plane: A Spiral Galaxy and Two Globular Clusters
We present the basic properties of three objects near the Galactic Plane—a large galaxy and two candidate globular clusters—discovered in the Two Micron All-Sky Survey (2MASS) data set. All were
Testing Population Synthesis Models with Globular Cluster Colors
TLDR
The predicted simple stellar population colors of three population synthesis models are compared to the intrinsic colors of Galactic and M31 globular clusters to imply that conditions for cluster formation must have existed for a substantial fraction of the galaxies' lifetimes.
Extragalactic globular clusters. II, The M31 globular cluster system
Metallicities for 150 globular clusters associated with M31 are derived using the strengths of six absorption features in the cluster-integrated spectra. The properties of the M31 cluster system are
