Splenic marginal zone lymphoma.
Analysis of immunoglobulin heavy-chain gene variable regions suggest that some cases of SMZL arise form postfollicular B cells but others from naïve B cells, and Histological differential diagnosis include a number of entities such as lymphoid hyperplasias.

In the small proportion of patients with concomitant hepatitis C virus infection, Interferon-alpha, ribavirin or a combination of both has demonstrated a significant activity with responses correlating with clearance of HCV RNA in the blood, these agents should be considered in the therapeutic scenario as a first line in these small cohort of patients.
Treatment of splenic marginal zone B-cell lymphoma: an analysis of 81 patients.
It is concluded that splenectomy is an efficient treatment for splenic MZL, but that it may be delayed until the occurrence of symptoms or cytopenia, and that patients with cy topenia at diagnosis treated bySplenectomy alone rapidly recovered normal hematological parameters.
Splenic Marginal Zone Cell Lymphoma
Four female patients with primary splenic low-grade non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphomas with the morphology and immunophenotype of splenic marginal zone lymphocytes with splenomegaly, anemia, and weight loss are described.
Splenic marginal zone lymphoma: a prognostic model for clinical use.
In conclusion, with the use of readily available factors, this prognostic index may be an effective tool for evaluating the need for treatment and the intensity of therapy in an individual patient.
Splenic and nodal marginal zone lymphomas are indolent disorders at high hepatitis C virus seroprevalence with distinct presenting features but similar morphologic and phenotypic profiles
Splenic and nodal marginal zone lymphomas (MZL) are subtypes of marginal zone‐derived neoplasms. Due to their rarity, little is known concerning their relation, pattern of dissemination, and
