BACKGROUND Lymphocytic adenohypohysitis and lymphocytic infundibulo-neurohypophysitis are rare auto-immune mediated diseases of the anterior and posterior pituitary, respectively. The former usually manifests as insufficiency of anterior pituitary hormone secretion, associated in many patients with disturbances of vision.
