BACKGROUND In the present investigation, we determined whether donor epithelial lung cells might be detected after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). METHODS Lung-tissue specimens were obtained at autopsy from four female patients, two with male donors, after nonmyeloablative HSCT.
