OBJECTIVES Evaluation of nephrotoxicity of a novel amphotericin B (AMB) formulation with dioctadecyldimethylammonium bromide (DODAB) bilayer fragments (DOD/AMB). METHODS Dose-dependent cytotoxicity of DOD/AMB was evaluated in vitro against cultured kidney epithelial cells in culture.
