Low-energy interband transitions in YBa2Cu3O7.

Based on a numerically highly accurate local-density-approximation (LDA) calculation, we present a k\ensuremath{\cdot}p analysis of the interband optical absorption in ${\mathrm{YBa}}_{2}$${\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}$${\mathrm{O}}_{7}$ in the infrared region (\ensuremath{\Elzxh}\ensuremath{\omega}0.1 eV).
