The cross sections of the 8Li(n,gamma)9Li and 8B(p,gamma)9C capture reactions have been analyzed using the direct capture model. At low energies which is the astrophysically relevant region the capture process is dominated by E1 transitions from incoming s-waves to bound p-states. The cross sections of both mirror reactions can be described simultaneously with consistent potential parameters, whereas previous calculations have overestimated the capture cross sections significantly. However, the…

Low-Energy Direct Capture in the 16O(alpha,gamma)20Ne Reaction
The cross section of the 16O(a,g)20Ne capture reaction is analyzed at low energies where the direct capture mechanism is dominant. For temperatures below T9 = 0.2 the resulting astrophysical reaction
The 8Li( d , p ) 9Li reaction and astrophysical 8B( p , ? ) 9C reaction rate
Abstract Angular distribution of the Li 8 ( d , p ) Li g.s. 9 reaction at E cm = 7.8 MeV was measured in inverse kinematics. The square of asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) for the virtual
Pre-asymptotic behavior of single-particle overlap integrals of non-Borromean two-neutron halos
For non-Borromean two-neutron halo nuclei, modifications to the behavior of single-particle overlap integrals will arise due to the correlations of the two interacting nucleons in the halo. An
Radius of 9 C from the Asymptotic Normalization Coefficient
The asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) of 9C = 8B+p deduced from 8Li(d,p)9Li reaction is used to obtain the root-mean-square (rms) radius of the loosely bound proton in the 9C ground state.
Microscopic investigation of the Li8(n,γ)Li9 reaction
Background: The $^{8}\mathrm{Li}(n,\ensuremath{\gamma})^{9}\mathrm{Li}$ reaction plays an important role in several astrophysics scenarios. It cannot be measured directly and indirect experiments

Microscopic study of proton-capture reactions on unstable nuclei
Abstract The 8 B(p,γ) 9 C, 11 C(p,γ) 12 N and 13 N(p,γ) 14 O capture cross sections are investigated in a microscopic cluster model, with a full p -shell description of the target nuclei. For the 8
Direct capture in the 3(+) resonance of 2H( alpha, gamma )6Li.
Calculations in a direct-capture model using double-folded α-d potentials reproduce strength and width of this resonance as well as the nonresonant capture cross section at lower and higher energies.
Determination of the astrophysical S factor of the 8B(p,γ)9C capture reaction from the d(8B,9C)n reaction
The asymptotic normalization coefficients for the virtual decay 9 C → 8 B + p have been determined by measuring the crosssection of the 8 B(d, n) 9 C reaction in inverse kinematics at 14.4 MeV/u,
Interference effects in 12C(p, γ)13N and direct capture to unbound states
Abstract Excitation functions of the capture reaction 12 C(p, γ 0 ) 13 N have been obtained at θ γ = 0° and 90° and E p = 150–2500 keV. The results can be explained if a direct radiative capture
