As technology scales toward deep submicron, on-chip interconnectsare becoming more and more sensitive to noisesources such as power supply noise, crosstalk, radiationinduced effects, etc. Transient delay and logic faults arelikely to reduce the reliability of data transfers across data-pathbus lines.
