In this essay I will discuss sport in its organized forms, which is training and competition in tradit ional sport disciplines. These are extensive practices en gagi g large parts of the population in modern soci ety both as practitioners and as spectators. Thus, the socia l and cultural impact of sport should not be undere stimated.
