THE TAXONOMIC LIST OF OPISTHOBRANCHS DEPOSITED AT THE NATIONAL MOLLUSK COLLECTION (CNMO) OF THE INSTITUTE OF BIOLOGY (NATIONAL AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF MEXICO) IS PRESENTED. IT INCLUDES 170 SPECIMENS IN 21 SPECIES IN 13 GENERA AND 10 FAMILIES FROM THE MEXICAN STATES OF BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR, SONORA, SINALOA, GUERRERO, OAXACA, VERACRUZ, CAMPECHE, IN ADDITION TO SOME FOREIGN LOCALITIES. SPECIMENS COME FROM VARIOUS RESEARCH PROJECTS, OTHER INSTITUTIONS OR WERE DONATED BY PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS. THE…
New records of ‘opisthobranchs’ (Gastropoda: Heterobranchia) from Arrecife Alacranes National Park, Yucatan, Mexico
TLDR
37 species of heterobranch sea slugs are reported from the National Park Alacranes reef, located in the Campeche Bank, at the south-eastern Gulf of Mexico, of which 18 species are reported for the first time in this reef, increasing the species richness in this national park to up to 67.
Seaslugs (Mollusca: Opisthobranchia) from Campeche bank, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
TLDR
The actual number of opisthobranch fauna in the Campeche Bank are 84 species, and 20 out of those are new records for the Atlantic coast of Mexico.
Opisthobranch fauna from the National Park Arrecife Alacranes, southern Gulf of Mexico
The opisthobranch mollusks recorded in the National Park Arrecife Alacranes, a marine protected area and the largest coral reef in the southern Gulf of Mexico, were studied during three survey
Biodiversidad de moluscos marinos en México
Assessing the patterns of diversity of the phylum Mollusca along the extensive Mexico's littoral zones represent a challenging task. However, one can argue that the biodiversity of a country can
Review of the geographic distribution of Hoffmannola hansi (Gastropoda: Pulmonata) in the Mexican Pacific
TLDR
This species is not “endemic” to the Gulf of California, but is distributed throughout the Mexican Pacific, however its distribution is discontinuous with the possible existence of 2 cryptic species geographically separated by the Sinaloan gap.
Análisis histórico de los gasterópodos de la laguna arrecifal de Isla Verde, Veracruz, México
The community structure of the class Gastropoda in the reef lagoon of Isla Verde, Veracruz, was analyzed in 3 seasons: windy, dry and rainy. The community analysis of gastropods was based on 4 field
A review on the diversity and distribution of opisthobranch gastropods from Peru, with the addition of three new records (Gastropoda, Heterobranchia)
TLDR
Critically review and update the taxonomical composition of Acteonoidea, Nudi pleura, Euopisthobranchia and marine panpulmonates Sacoglossa and Acochlida from coastal Peruvian waters and add new collection localities for 19 species.
First records of marine sea slugs (Gastropoda: Heterobranchia) of the Tuxpan Reef System, Mexico, with extended distribution records
The knowledge of nudibranchs and sea slugs of northern Veracruz is updated through photographic records. Samplings were performed with snorkel for shallow areas and scuba diving for deep slopes at
Opisthobranch Assemblages from a Coral Reef System: : The Role of Habitat Type and Food Availability
TLDR
It is suggested that food supplies and feeding strategies play a dominant role in the coexistence of species and their small-scale spatial distribution within the reef.
Where is the genus Elysia in the western Atlantic? Potential distribution, species richness and representation in marine protected areas
TLDR
Using the maximum entropy algorithm Maxent to develop ecological niche models for 14 species of Elysia in the western Atlantic Ocean shows low habitat suitability for the species modelled here at the mouth of rivers and in hypoxic zones and low-temperature areas.

The importance of voucher specimens, with practical guidelines for preserving specimens of the major invertebrate phyla for identification
TLDR
Practical guidelines, with supporting rationale, are given for non-taxonomists on how to preserve members of the major animal phyla—arthropods, molluscs, and helminths, for taxonomic study and as vouchers.
