In this work, according to the electromagnetic field tensor in the framework of generalized uncertainty principle (GUP), we obtain the Lorentz force and Faraday's law of induction in the presence of a minimal length. Also, the ponderomotive force and ponderomotive pressure in the presence of a measurable minimal length are found. It is shown that in the limit β → 0, the generalized Lorentz force and ponderomotive force become the usual forms. The upper bound on the isotropic minimal length is…

Ultra-bright γ-ray emission by using PW laser irradiating solid target obliquely

By using intense laser irradiating a micro plane target obliquely, an enhanced γ-ray source is generated. Due to the superposition of the incident and the reflected laser pulses, electron bunches

Formulation of Electrodynamics with an External Source in the Presence of a Minimal Measurable Length

In a series of papers,Quesne andTkachuk (2006) presented aD+ 1-dimensional (β,β)-two-parameter Lorentz-covariant deformed algebra which leads to a nonzero minimal measurable length. In this paper,

Casimir effect in the presence of minimal lengths

It is expected that the implementation of minimal length in quantum models leads to a consequent lowering of Planck's scale. In this paper, using the quantum model with minimal length of Kempf et al

The effects of minimal length and maximal momentum on the transition rate of ultra cold neutrons in gravitational field

The existence of a minimum observable length and/or a maximum observable momentum is in agreement with various candidates of quantum gravity such as string theory, loop quantum gravity, doubly

LAGRANGIAN FORMULATION OF A MAGNETOSTATIC FIELD IN THE PRESENCE OF A MINIMAL LENGTH SCALE BASED ON THE KEMPF ALGEBRA

In the 1990s, Kempf and his collaborators Mangano and Mann introduced a D-dimensional (β, β′)-two-parameter deformed Heisenberg algebra which leads to an isotropic minimal length . In this work, the

Minimal Length Effects on Schwinger Mechanism

In this paper, we investigate effects of the minimal length on the Schwinger mechanism using the quantum field theory (QFT) incorporating the minimal length. We first study the Schwinger mechanism

INVESTIGATIONS IN THE LEE–WICK ELECTRODYNAMICS

We consider the Lee–Wick (LW) electrodynamics, i.e. the U(1) gauge theory where a (gauge-invariant) dimension-6 operator containing higher derivatives is added to the free Lagrangian of the U(1)

Minimal length uncertainty relation and gravitational quantum well

The dynamics of a particle in a gravitational quantum well is studied in the context of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics with a particular deformation of a two-dimensional Heisenberg algebra. This

Universality of quantum gravity corrections.

We show that the existence of a minimum measurable length and the related generalized uncertainty principle (GUP), predicted by theories of quantum gravity, influence all quantum Hamiltonians. Thus,
