We report measurements of the longitudinal double-spin asymmetry, $A_{LL}$, for inclusive jet and dijet production in polarized proton-proton collisions at midrapidity and center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}$ = 510 GeV, using the high luminosity data sample collected by the STAR experiment in 2013. These measurements complement and improve the precision of previous STAR measurements at the same center-of-mass energy that probe the polarized gluon distribution function at partonic momentum fraction… Expand

We present a leading order evaluation of the helicity distributions for the three lightest quark and anti-quark flavours, derived from the double-spin asymmetries measured by the COMPASS experimentExpand
Precision measurements of A^n_1 in the deep inelastic regime
We have performed precision measurements of the double-spin virtual-photon asymmetry A_1 on the neutron in the deep inelastic scattering regime, using an open-geometry, large-acceptance spectrometerExpand
Measurement of the analyzing power A N in pp elastic scattering in the CNI region with a polarized atomic hydrogen gas jet target
Abstract A precise measurement of the analyzing power A N in proton–proton elastic scattering in the region of 4-momentum transfer squared 0.001 | t | 0.032 ( GeV / c ) 2 has been performed using aExpand
Identified hadron spectra at large transverse momentum in p+p and d+Au collisions at,root(NN)-N-S=200 GeV
Abstract We present the transverse momentum ( p T ) spectra for identified charged pions, protons and anti-protons from p + p and d + Au collisions at s NN = 200 GeV . The spectra are measured aroundExpand
Flavour separation of helicity distributions from deep inelastic muon–deuteron scattering
Abstract We present a LO evaluation of helicity densities of valence, Δ u v + Δ d v , non-strange sea, Δ u ¯ + Δ d ¯ , and strange quarks, Δ s (assumed to be equal to Δ s ¯ ). They have been obtainedExpand

The single transverse spin asymmetry, A_N, of the p-carbon elastic scattering process in the Coulomb Nuclear Interference (CNI) region was measured using an ultra thin carbon target and polarizedExpand
The spin-dependent structure function of the proton g(1)(p) and a test of the Bjorken sum rule
The inclusive double-spin asymmetry. A(1)(p), has been measured at COMPASS in deep-inelastic polarised muon scattering off a large polarised NH3 target. The data, collected in the year 2007, coverExpand
Parton distributions and lattice QCD calculations: a community white paper
In the framework of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), parton distribution functions (PDFs) quantify how the momentum and spin of a hadron are divided among its quark and gluon constituents. Two mainExpand
The spin structure function gp1 of the proton and a test of the Bjorken sum rule
New results for the double spin asymmetry A(1)(p) and the proton longitudinal spin structure function g(1)(p) are presented. They were obtained by the COMPASS Collaboration using polarised 200 GeVExpand
