Abstract The dynamics of a Bose–Einstein condensate are examined numerically in the presence of a one-dimensional bichromatic optical lattice (BCOL) with external harmonic confinement in the strongly interacting regime. The condensate is excited by a focusing stirring red laser. Two realizations of the BCOL are considered, one with a rational and the other with an irrational ratio of the two constituting wave lengths. The system is simulated by the time-dependent Gross Pitaevskii equation that…

We report parametric resonances (PRs) in a numerical investigation of a driven one-dimensional, interacting, and disordered Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) confined in different traps. The BEC is
Characterization of the energy level-structure of a trapped dipolar Bose gas via mean-field parametric resonances
Analyzing the energy levels of a trapped Bose–Einstein condensate (BEC) can be difficult when dipole-dipole interactions (DDIs) are present. To address this issue, this study focuses on the

We contribute to the field of rogue waves by providing an exact analytical model of the coupled Bose–Einstein Condensation (BEC) in Poschl–Teller potential. We start with the dimensionless 1D BEC of

Localization of a two-component Bose–Einstein condensate in a two-dimensional bichromatic optical lattice
We consider a weakly interacting two-component Bose–Einstein condensate (BEC) in a two-dimensional (2D) quasi-periodic bichromatic optical lattice (BOL). The problem is studied by means of split-step

Quasiperiodic Dynamics in Bose-Einstein Condensates in Periodic Lattices and Superlattices
TLDR
KAM theory is employed to rigorously investigate quasiperiodic dynamics in cigar-shaped Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) in periodic lattices and superlattices and it is shown that this threshold scales with the square root of the inverse of the two-body scattering length, whereas the rotation number of tori above this threshold is proportional to the amplitude.
Resonances and Dynamical Fragmentation in a Stirred Bose–Einstein Condensate
Superfluids are distinguished from ordinary fluids by the quantized manner in which the rotation is manifested in them. Precisely, quantized vortices are known to appear in the bulk of a superfluid

In this work, we study parametric excitations in an elongated cigar-shaped BEC in a combined harmonic trap and a time dependent optical lattice by using numerical techniques. We show that there
