BACKGROUND The data base of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) provides access to data on a large adult patient population drawn from more than 25 major university institutions and hundreds of participating hospitals. Extensive medical files are maintained at the ECOG Coordinating Center and are updated regularly.
