BACKGROUND Thymectomy (Tx) is a common therapeutic option to treat myasthenia gravis (MG), but its effects on the immune system are still obscure in humans. OBJECTIVE We sought to evaluate long-term immunologic effects of therapeutic Tx in patients with MG.
