The totally subcutaneous implantable defibrillator (S-ICD) was introduced as a new alternative to conventional implantable defibrillators and is employed worldwide. This system is especially attractive for young patients. However, in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), T-wave oversensing may occur.
