Ion-beam-assisted deposition (IBAD) is a promising method for preparation of biaxially textured templates for YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-/spl delta// (YBCO) coated conductors. For the purpose of practical applications, many groups make efforts to obtain long and high-performance YBCO superconducting wires based on IBAD templates.
