We have investigated the effects of long‐term ingestion of two serine proteinase inhibitors (PIs), the Kunitz Soybean trypsin inhibitor (SBTI) and the Bowman‐Birk inhibitor (BBI) on survival, learning abilities involved in the foraging behaviour, and digestive physiology of the honeybee (Apis mellifera L., Hymenoptera).
