—A new genus and species of the family Cyclodorippidae, Lonchodactylus messingi, is described from specimens collected in the Bahamas using a research submersible. The new genus is more closely related to two Indo-West Pacific genera (Genkaia Miyake & Takeda and Phyllotymolinum Tavares) than to any other cyclodorippid from the coasts of America.
