A logo recognition system that comprises of three phases: Preprocessing, feature extraction and features matching, which adopted a region-based Angular Radial Transform (ART) to extract the features from logo’s shapes was developed.

A new approach is proposed for detection of logo and extraction from the document images that robustly classifies and precisely localizes logos using a boosting strategy across multiple image scales.

Automated Color Logo Recognition System based on Shape and Color Features

An automated system for rotation and scale invariant color logo recognition that is highly scalable and robust providing accuracy results comparable to the state of the art.

Rotation and Scale Invariant Automated Logo Recognition System using Moment Invariants and Hough Transform

An automated system for rotation and scale invariant logo recognition system based on black and white logo images with better accuracy results than other techniques is proposed, providing better accuracy results than other techniques.

A Novel Approach for Computing the Coefficient of ART Descriptor Using Polar Coordinates for Gray-Level and Binary Images

This paper proposes an algorithm to compute the coefficients in polar coordinates systems to eliminate errors, which have been produced by the conventional method and uses cubic interpolation for generation of the pixel to system Polar image, results show that the proposed approach improves the polar rotation invariance.

Mobile Plant Classification System

Of the two classifiers tested, Random Forests was selected as the better one, proving better generalisation, classification times and scalability than Nearest Neigbour, and execution time results indicate the system proposed is indeed fast enough to run in reasonable times on slower devices.

A Review on Classification and Comparison of Automatic Logo Based Document Image Retrieval Methods and other Applications

An effective categorization of vast number of methods, techniques, transforms, algorithms, approaches and schemes available for the purpose of logo detection in various image processing applications like Authenticity of documents, Security for information, Traffic Surveillance, Pattern recognition, Marketing, Medical Imaging, Satellite imaging, Drones and Ocean Imaging is provided.

Empirical Analysis of Invariance of Transform Coefficients under Rotation

The results show that the recognition rate remains same for cases when all transform coefficients are used for extracting image features and when only 50% to 60% observed robust moments are used whereas the execution time decreases resulting in fast execution of application.

Invariant Image Recognition by Zernike Moments

A systematic reconstruction-based method for deciding the highest-order ZERNike moments required in a classification problem is developed and the superiority of Zernike moment features over regular moments and moment invariants was experimentally verified.

Jawi Character Recognition Using the Trace Transform

This paper uses some features, which are invariant to affine distortion, generated by the trace transform to discriminate between Jawi characters and demonstrates the usefulness of the derived signature.

Modified Algorithm to Obtain Translation, Rotation and Scale Invariant Zernike Moment Shape Descriptors

The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is fast and results in a higher performance regarding the scale and translation invariance properties when compared with other available schemes reported in the literature.

Fast and efficient method for computing ART

This paper derives symmetric/antisymmetric properties from the basis functions of ART and presents a fast and efficient method to compute the ART coefficients using these properties.

A moment-based approach to registration of images with affine geometric distortion

A new method is described for automatic control point selection and matching that can produce subpixel registration accuracy and is demonstrated by registration of SPOT and Landsat TM images.
