This letter utilizes a simple locally resonant cavity cell (LRCC) model to provide an insight into the physical mechanism and the relationship between locally resonant modes and surface-wave suppression band-gaps of the proposed meandering slotted electromagnetic band-gap (MSEBG) structure.
