Recently, a new scalar-tensor braneworld model was presented in [Phys. Rev. D 86 (2012) 127502]. It not only solves the gauge hierarchy problem but also reproduces a correct Friedmann-like equation on the brane. In this new model, there are two different brane solutions, for which the mass spectra of gravity on the brane are the same. In this paper, we investigate localization and mass spectra of various bulk matter fields (i.e., scalar, vector, Kalb-Ramond, and fermion fields) on the brane. It…

Localization of scalar field on f(R, T) thick Robertson-Walker brane

The braneworld model provides a solution to the hierarchy problem in cosmology. Based on its thickness, braneworld models are classified into a thin brane model (RandallSundrum (RS) and the RS-like

Matter localization on brane-worlds generated by deformed defects

Localization and mass spectrum of bosonic and fermionic matter fields of some novel families of asymmetric thick brane configurations generated by deformed defects are investigated. The localization

Spectrum structure of a fermion on Bloch branes with two scalar–fermion couplings

It is known that the Bloch brane is generated by an odd scalar field ϕ and an even one χ. In order to localize a bulk fermion on the Bloch brane, the coupling between the fermion and scalars should

Deflation of vacuum energy during inflation due to Bulk-Brane interaction

We consider a brane world inflationary model in which inflation is driven by dynamics of a self-interacting scalar field living in the five-dimensional bulk. The scalar field is non-minimally coupled

Kalb–Ramond field localization in sine-Gordon braneworld models

In this paper, we investigate Kalb–Ramond field localization in two types of five-dimensional braneworld models given by sine-Gordon potentials. The sine-Gordon (SG) and double sine-Gordon (DSG)

On dilatons and the LHC diphoton excess

We study soft wall models that can embed the Standard Model and a naturally light dilaton. Exploiting the full capabilities of these models we identify the parameter space that allows to pass

On dilatons and the LHC diphoton excess

A bstractWe study soft wall models that can embed the Standard Model and a naturally light dilaton. Exploiting the full capabilities of these models we identify the parameter space that allows to

Localization of matters on pure geometrical thick branes

In the literatures, several types of thick smooth brane configurations in a pure geometric Weyl integrable 5-dimensional space time have been presented. The Weyl geometry is a non-Riemannian

Localization and mass spectrum of matters on Weyl thick branes

In this paper, we study localization and mass spectrum of various matter fields on a family of thick brane configurations in a pure geometric Weyl integrable 5-dimensional space time, a

New localization mechanism of fermions on braneworlds

It is known that by introducing the Yukawa coupling between the fermion and the background scalar field, a bulk spin-half fermion can be localized on general Randall-Sundrum braneworlds generated by

Localization and mass spectra of fermions on symmetric and asymmetric thick branes

A three-parameter (positive odd integer s, thickness factor {lambda}, and asymmetry factor a) family of asymmetric thick brane solutions in five dimensions were constructed from a two-parameter (s

Fermions, scalars, and Randall-Sundrum gravity on domain-wall branes

We analyze the general features of localization of fermions and scalars in smoothed field-theoretical versions of the type 2 Randall-Sundrum braneworld model. A scalar field domain wall forms the

Bulk matter fields on two-field thick branes

In this paper we obtain a new solution of a brane made up of a scalar field coupled to a dilaton. There is a unique parameter $b$ in the solution, which decides the distribution of the energy density

The Einstein Equations on the 3-BRANE World:. a Window to Extra Dimensions

We carefully investigate the gravitational equations of the brane world, in which all the matter forces except gravity are confined on the 3-brane in a 5-dimensional spacetime with $Z_2$ symmetry. We

Fermion localization on two-field thick branes

In a recent paper published in this journal, Almeida and collaborators [Phys. Rev. D 79, 125022 (2009)] analyze the issue of fermion localization of fermions on a brane constructed from two scalar

Fermion localization on branes with generalized dynamics

In this letter we consider a specific model of braneworld with nonstandard dynamics diffused in the literature, specifically we focus our attention on the matter energy density, the energy of system,
