MAIN CONCLUSION Jasmonic acid positively modulates vitamin E accumulation, but the latter can also partly influence the capacity to accumulate the jasmonic acid precursor, 12-oxo-phytodienoic acid, in white-leaved rockrose (Cistus albidus L.) plants growing in their natural habitat.
