In this paper, design of reflectarray antennas using 1-bit digital phase shifters is reported. Using quadratic phase distribution due to the incident spherical field on the array face, the quantization error caused by 1-bit phase shifters is compensated. The results are compared with 1.5 and 2 bits phase shifters and effects of frequency squint, number of quantization bits and number of elements on radiation parameters such as scan angle error, directivity and side lobe are discussed.
