Hybrid MIMO systems are defined as a combination of architectures designed to achieve both multiplexing gain (such as VBLAST), and diversity gain, (such as STBC). In these systems the detection can be performed with an ordered successive interference cancellation (OSIC) based on SQRD algorithm, in which the layers with diversity are decoded first.
