In 1952 RAPER & FENNELL reported a very interesting genus of the order Mucorales. I t is placed in the family Kickxellaceae and the chief characteristics of the genus are tile presence of sessile, domeshaped non-septate sporocladia arranged mostly in a zig-zag fashion over the conidiophores and elongated somewhat winged conidia arranged over the sterigmata.
