A search for muon neutrinos from neutralino annihilations in the Sun has been performed with the IceCube 22-string neutrino detector using data collected in 104.3 days of live time in 2007. No excess over the expected atmospheric background has been observed. Upper limits have been obtained on the annihilation rate of captured neutralinos in the Sun and converted to limits on the weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) proton cross sections for WIMP masses in the range 250-5000 GeV. These… Expand
Multiyear search for dark matter annihilations in the Sun with the AMANDA-II and IceCube detectors
A search for an excess of muon neutrinos from dark matter annihilations in the Sun has been performed with the AMANDA-II neutrino telescope using data collected in 812 days of live time between 2001Expand
Annihilation of NMSSM neutralinos in the Sun and neutrino telescope limits
We investigate neutralino dark matter in the framework of NMSSM performing a scan over its parameter space and calculating neutralino capture and annihilation rates in the Sun. We discuss theExpand
Search for neutralino Dark Matter with the AMANDA neutrino telescope and prospects for IceCube
If non‐baryonic dark matter exists in the form of neutralinos, a neutrino flux is expected from the decay of neutralino pair annihilation products inside heavy celestial bodies. Data taken with theExpand
First results on dark matter annihilation in the Sun using the ANTARES neutrino telescope
A search for high-energy neutrinos coming from the direction of the Sun has been performed using the data recorded by the ANTARES neutrino telescope during 2007 and 2008. The neutrino selectionExpand
Upper limit on the cross section for elastic neutralino-nucleon scattering in a neutrino experiment at the Baksan Underground Scintillator Telescope
The results of a neutrino experiment that involved 24.12 yr of live time of observation of muons from the lower Earth’s hemisphere with the aid of the Baksan Underground Scintillator Telescope areExpand
Investigating light neutralinos at neutrino telescopes
We present a detailed analysis of the neutrino-induced muon signals coming from neutralino pair annihilations inside the Sun and the Earth with particular emphasis for light neutralinos. TheExpand
Searches for Dark Matter with the IceCube Detector
Construction of the IceCube neutrino observatory was recently completed, including the full DeepCore sub-array, a low-energy extension of the IceCube detector. We present recent results from theExpand
Limits on the WIMP-nucleon scattering cross-section from neutrino telescopes
Neutrino-telescopes like Super-Kamiokande and IceCube have started to explore the neutrino fluxes from WIMP annihilations in the Sun. The non-observation of a signal can put constraints on the WIMPExpand
Limits on Kaluza–Klein dark matter annihilation in the Sun from recent IceCube results
We interpret recent IceCube results on searches for dark matter accumulated in the Sun in terms of the lightest Kaluza–Klein excitation (assumed here to be the Kaluza–Klein photon, $$B^1$$ B 1 ),Expand
High Energy Neutrino Astronomy: IceCube 22 and 40 Strings
Abstract In this paper, after a short introduction to the physics of neutrino telescopes, we will report on first performances of the IceCube detector and a selection of preliminary results obtainedExpand
