Light-Front Quantization—Dirac’s “Front Form”—provides a physical, frame-independent formalism for hadron dynamics and structure. Observables such as structure functions, transverse momentum distributions, and distribution amplitudes are defined from the hadronic light-front wavefunctions. One obtains new insights into the hadronic spectrum, light-front wavefunctions, and the functional form of the QCD running coupling in the nonperturbative domain using light-front holography—the duality…

The QCD light-front Hamitonian equation derived from quantization at fixed LF time provides a causal, frame-independent, method for computing hadron spectroscopy and dynamical observables. de Alfaro,

Hadron and Nuclear Physics on the Light Front

The QCD light-front (LF) Hamiltonian equation H_{LF}|\Psi> = M^2 |\Psi> derived from quantization at fixed LF time \tau = t+z/c provides a causal, frame-independent, method for computing hadron

Supersymmetry in Hadron Spectroscopy and Solitons in 2 Dimensional Fermionic Media

An overview of hadron spectroscopy obtained from an extension of superconformal field theory of de Alfaro, Fubini and Furlan, which originates from the supergauge transformation of Wess and Zumino

Dynamics of the quark-antiquark interaction and the universality of Regge trajectories

The dynamical picture of a quark-antiquark interaction in light mesons, which provides linearity of radial and orbital Regge trajectories (RT), is studied with the use of the relativistic string

Color Confinement and Spatial Dimensions in the Complex-Sedenion Space

The paper aims to apply the complex-sedenions to explore the wave functions and field equations of non-Abelian gauge fields, considering the spatial dimensions of a unit vector as the color degrees

The non-triviality of the vacuum in light-front quantization: An elementary treatment

It is often stated that the vacuum is trivial when light-front (null-plane) quantization is applied to a quantum field theory, in contrast to the situation with equal-time quantization. In fact, it

Deviation pattern approach for optimizing perturbative terms of QCD renormalization group invariant observables

We first consider the idea of renormalization group-induced estimates, in the context of optimization procedures, for the Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie approach to generate higher-order contributions to

The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Experimental Physics of Elementary Particles

The year 2016 marks the 60th anniversary of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, an international intergovernmental organization for basic research in the fields of elementary

Hadron Spectroscopy and Dynamics from Light-Front Holography and Superconformal Algebra

QCD is not supersymmetrical in the traditional sense—the QCD Lagrangian is based on quark and gluonic fields, not squarks nor gluinos. However, its hadronic eigensolutions conform to a representation

Color Confinement and Spatial Dimensions in the Complex-Sedenion Space

The paper aims to apply the complex-sedenions to explore the wave functions and field equations of non-Abelian gauge fields, considering the spatial dimensions of a unit vector as the color degrees

Nonperturbative QCD coupling and its β function from light-front holography

The light-front holographic mapping of classical gravity in AdS space, modified by a positive-sign dilaton background, leads to a non-perturbative effective coupling $$\alpha_s^{AdS}(Q^2)$$. It

Light-Front Holography and Hadronization at the Amplitude Level

The correspondence between theories in anti—de Sitter space and conformal field theories in physical space‐time leads to an analytic, semiclassical model for strongly‐coupled QCD which has scale

The Light-Front Schrödinger Equation and the Determination of the Perturbative QCD Scale from Color Confinement: A First Approximation to QCD

The valence Fock-state wavefunctions of the light-front (LF) QCD Hamiltonian satisfy a relativistic equation of motion, analogous to the nonrelativistic radial Schrödinger equation, with an effective

Meson Transition Form Factors in Light-Front Holographic QCD

We study the photon-to-meson transition form factors (TFFs) F{sub M{gamma}}(Q{sup 2}) for {gamma}{gamma}* {yields} M using light-front holographic methods. The Chern-Simons action, which is a natural

Baryon spectrum from superconformal quantum mechanics and its light-front holographic embedding

We describe the observed light-baryon spectrum by extending superconformal quantum mechanics to the light front and its embedding in AdS space. This procedure uniquely determines the confinement

Kinematical and Dynamical Aspects of Higher-Spin Bound-State Equations in Holographic QCD

In this paper we derive holographic wave equations for hadrons with arbitrary spin starting from an effective action in a higher-dimensional space asymptotic to anti-de Sitter (AdS) space. Our

A Unitary and renormalizable theory of the standard model in ghost free light cone gauge

Light-front (LF) quantization in light-cone (LC) gauge is used to construct a unitary and simultaneously renormalizable theory of the Standard Model. The framework derived earlier for QCD is extended
