We explore the energy and entropy transport as well as the lepton number variation induced from the mixing between electron and sterile neutrinos with keV mass in the supernova core. We develop a radial- and time-dependent treatment of the νs-νe mixing, by including ordinary matter effects, reconversions between sterile and electron antineutrinos, as well as the collisional production of sterile particles for the first time. The dynamical feedback due to the production of sterile particles on…
Core-collapse Supernova Constraint on the Origin of Sterile Neutrino Dark Matter via Neutrino Self-interactions
Novel neutrino self-interaction can open up viable parameter space for the relic abundance of sterile-neutrino dark matter (S ν DM). In this work, we constrain the relic target using core-collapse
Dark Matter In Extreme Astrophysical Environments
Exploring dark matter via observations of extreme astrophysical environments — defined here as heavy compact objects such as white dwarfs, neutron stars, and black holes, as well as supernovae and
Synergy between cosmological and laboratory searches in neutrino physics: a white paper
The intersection of the cosmic and neutrino frontiers is a rich field where much discovery space still remains. Neutrinos play a pivotal role in the hot big bang cosmology, influencing the dynamics

Freeze-in leptogenesis via dark-matter oscillations
We study the cosmology and phenomenology of freeze-in baryogenesis via dark-matter oscillations, taking the dark matter to couple to Standard Model leptons. We investigate viable models both with and
Resonance production of keV sterile neutrinos in core-collapse supernovae and lepton number diffusion
We investigate how hypothetical particles - sterile neutrinos - can be produced in the interior of exploding supernovae via the resonant conversion of $\bar\nu_\mu$ and $\bar \nu_\tau$. The novelty
EuCAPT White Paper: Opportunities and Challenges for Theoretical Astroparticle Physics in the Next Decade
Astroparticle physics is undergoing a profound transformation, due to a series of extraordinary new results, such as the discovery of high-energy cosmic neutrinos with IceCube, the direct detection
Inverse seesaw model with a modular S 4 symmetry: lepton flavor mixing and warm dark matter
In this paper, we present a systematic investigation on simple inverse seesaw models for neutrino masses and flavor mixing based on the modular S 4 symmetry. Two right-handed neutrinos and three

MeV-scale seesaw and leptogenesis
We study the type-I seesaw model with three right-handed neutrinos and Majorana masses below the pion mass. In this mass range, the model parameter space is not only strongly constrained by the

Tau lepton asymmetry by sterile neutrino emission—moving beyond one-zone supernova models
The mixing of active neutrinos with their sterile counterparts with keV mass is known to have a potentially major impact on the energy loss from the supernova core. By relying on a set of three
Impact of sterile neutrino dark matter on core-collapse supernovae
We summarize the impact of sterile neutrino dark matter on core-collapse supernova explosions. We explore various oscillations between electron neutrinos or mixed $\mu-\tau$ neutrinos and
Toward a full test of the $\nu$MSM sterile neutrino dark matter model with Athena
We discuss the potential of Athena X-ray telescope, in particular of its X-ray Integral Field Unit (X-IFU), for detection of the signal from the light-weight decaying dark matter with mass in the keV
Sterile neutrino oscillations in core-collapse supernovae
We have made core-collapse supernova simulations that allow oscillations between electron neutrinos (or their anti particles) with right-handed sterile neutrinos. We have considered a range of mixing
Supernova Bounds on Resonant Active-Sterile Neutrino Conversions
We discuss the effects of resonante → s and ¯ e → ¯s (s is a sterile neutrino) conversions in the dense medium of a supernova. In particular, we assume the sterile neutrinos to be in the hot dark
Sterile neutrino-enhanced supernova explosions
We investigate the enhancement of lepton number, energy, and entropy transport resulting from active-sterile neutrino conversion {nu}{sub e}{yields}{nu}{sub s} deep in the post-bounce supernova core

TLDR
Analytic results are presented for the probability of detecting an electron neutrino after passage through a resonant oscillation region using the Landau-Zener transition probability between adiabatic states.
Limits on the Radiative Decay of Sterile Neutrino Dark Matter from the Unresolved Cosmic and Soft X-ray Backgrounds
We present upper limits on line emission in the Cosmic X-ray background (CXB) that would be produced by decay of sterile neutrino dark matter. We employ the spectra of the unresolved component of the
Improved limits on sterile neutrino dark matter using full-sky Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor data
A sterile neutrino of ∼keV mass is a well-motivated dark matter candidate. Its decay generates an x-ray line that offers a unique target for x-ray telescopes. For the first time, we use the Gamma-ray
